Mahajanas the exalted devotees of the Lord
Mahajanas means the authority who spoke as per the vedic scriptures in accordance with what lord krishna had said which flows through disciplic succession since time immemorial. Mahajans are well versed with puranas, upanishads, four vedas which are lawful guides for humanity. There are 12 mahajans as per the disciplic succession whom we follow namely Brahma, Narada, Shiva, Kumaras, Kapila Muni, Prahalada, Janaka, Bhishma, King Bali, Shukadev Goswami, Yamaraja. A brief introduction about all the twelve authorities has been mentioned in the book whose life history can be inspiring to us in challenges of our life.
Apart from that from their personal life we can learn how Bhishma displayed his quality as an obedient child by sacrificing his life by maintaining celibacy throughout for the sake of his father’s personal life. His fearlessness in the epic Mahabharata is well glorified. Prahalad maharaj teaches us how devotion is to be started at the age of five which is a playful age for children under the guidance of a bonafide spiritual master. He doesn’t emphasize on modern education which are slaughterhouses for the generations to come. From Mahajan Bali we can learn boldness to accept what is right and what is wrong and act accordingly for the sake of devotion unto the Supreme personality of Godhead. One can even reject elders if they intend to block devotional services unto Lord Sri Krishna. Thus this book is an excellent illustration for all to read to understand the unalloyed devotional service unto Lord Sri krishna. Thus this book covers all the great devotees of lord and reading about them pleases lord extremely and also cleanses and purifies one’s heart.
