Down through the ages, highly evolved souls of both the East and West have taught that we can attain perfect, pure and eternal love only when we learn to love Kṛṣṇa.Bhakti-yoga teaches us this art. And there is no greater teacher than the Vedic sage Nārada. Nārada eighty-four jewellike aphorisms on devotion, known as Narad Bhakti sutra, reveal the secrets of love of God.There is the particular charm to Nārada-bhakti-sūtra in its brevity , universality, and emphasis on total surrender to Lord Kṛṣṇa.The aphorism are so strong and can be easily remembered and confidently quoted in devotional discussions and preaching.” In Nārada-bhakti-sūtra it is said that one who is very serious about developing Kṛṣṇa Consciousness has his desire to understand Kṛṣṇa fulfilled very soon by the grace of the Lord”(p.53-4)Teachings of Lord chaintanya.Nārada-bhakti-sūtra presents the philosophy of transcendental devotional love in a detailed way starting from the value of devotion after that the bhakti-yoga and the means of achievement, and about pure devotion and mixed devotion, what helps or hinders our progress along the path of devotion and lastly attaining perfection in devotional transcendental service.Srila Prabhupada refers to Nārada-bhakti-sūtra several time in his writings.
