This book presents startling evidence of the soul’s incredible journey after death, how the soul travels from body to body, and how we can end the cycle of birth and death by reaching the ultimate abode. 

Living in bodily conception , our ideas of happiness are like that of a man in delirium. Some philosophers claim that this delirious condition of bodily conception can be cured by abstaining from all action . Bhagwat gita indicates that this material body is not all in all . Beyond this combination of material elements there is the spirit , and the symptom of that spirit is consciousness. What is consciousness?Just as heat or smoke are symptoms of fire , consciousness is the symptom of the soul. . How a body without consciousness is a dead body and how consciousness proves that the soul is present  is revealed in the first part of the book This part also explains how we are all connected to the Supreme Lord and now we have been affected by material contamination.

The second and third and fourth  part of the book presents the linking process by which we have to return to the spiritual world  that is yoga and the method of approaching that perfection so that at the time of death , when we have to give up this material body,  that perfection can be realized.And reveals the glories that even the higher planets in this universe are subject to birth and death but spiritual universe refers to those planets where there is no birth , old age , disease, and death and more deep secrets about the sky beyond the universe .And the fifth part presents associating with Lord Krishna by speaking personally with him , playing with him, eating with him etc. how it can be attained . 

In Bg.8.28,Lord Krishna says that the ultimate goal of life -to go back to Godhead.All scriptures from all countries aim at this goal may be in a different way but the main principle is that we are not meant for this material world. All indications, concepts and philosophy of this book presents life beyond birth and death.
