Prema vilasa is an old vaishnava literature, written almost five hundred years ago, and provides a supplement to both Chaitanya-bhagavata and Chaitanya-charitamrita, with its detailed descriptions of the activities of Lord Chaitanya’s devotees. Primarily, the book focuses on the pastimes and life of Srinivasa acharya , Narottama dasa thakur, Shyamanada Prabhu along with which glories of Ramchandra kaviraja, Virchandra, Jahnava Mata and Vishnupriya. The acharyas’ life and history are very essential to be adopted in our spiritual lives as it helps us to advance and attain their mercy by following unto their footsteps and instructions. This book has been accepted as authentic as the prem vilasa is mentioned in a few vaishnava scriptures. The eye-witness incidents and a close reportage of the activities of Lord Chaitanya’s great associates especially of the three vaishnava acharyas are already mentioned. 

Prema vilasa is a flow of love, a book meant to describe the lives and teachings of great Gaudiya Vaishnava spiritual masters. The author’s attempt is to present his deeper spiritual revelation and the essence of their spiritual experiences in order to benefit humanity. Prema vilasa, is one of the several histories that were written by Gaudiya Vaishnavas just after Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s disappearance. The book presents how Chaitanya Mahaprabhu exists in His mission and is attainable to those who take part in it under the supervision of His great devotees.
